Bernd Benninghoff

Bernd Benninghoff specialises in interior architecture and furniture design. Since 2000 he runs his own studio, designing and developing products, spaces and exhibition concepts for international clients. From 2004 -2007 he lived in Wellington, New Zealand, where he lectured design courses at Victoria University. In 2007 he was appointed as professor for Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the Univesity of Applied Sciences in Mainz.
His main work focus is the development of projects that experiment with the interactive relation between products and spatial context. The use of new materials and technologies plays an important part in his design process - as he is searching for innovative products and spaces with an independent identity.
