Marie Schmid-Schweiger founded her design studio in Munich in 2003. After assisting Dieter Rehm Fotostudio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, she began her design studies at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. Diploma 2000 in vehicle design. She worked for Design- works USA inc. BMW and as project manager for Struppler Associates, for Studio Emmanuel Babled and Riccarda del Aqua in Milan and Venice. In 2003 she founded the project office Schweiger & Viererbl with Florian Viererbl.

What is the archetype? What is the essence? What moves us? That's what drives me in the design process. Her products have been honored with the Red Dot award, iF award, Good Design Award, the nomination for the German Design Award and the German Design Award in silver. Marie Schmid-Schweiger is a lecturer at the Academy for Fashion and Design. She lives and works in Munich.
